The warmth of your kiss, the squeeze of our hands—
It was all fleeting.
Pulses racing frantically, shallow breaths taken, rapidly, rhythmically—
They would all slow down. The moment was marked with impermanence.
I pulled away to steal a glance,
and that fleeting moment of meeting glances
turned into a heated gaze,
the friction palpable in the silence.
It was only in that fraction of a second
that I saw the possibilities
of forever, of eternity,
of infinitude.
